ECOSOC Partnership Forum 2023

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) held its 2023 Partnership Forum on Tuesday, January 31st,  2023, at the UN headquarters in New York from 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. (EDT), after the Council’s  Coordination Segment. To explore innovative ideas related to the main theme of the ECOSOC and the  High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), “Accelerating the recovery from the  coronavirus sickness (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable  Development,” the 2023 ECOSOC Partnership Forum brought together UN Member States and  stakeholders, including individuals from civil society, the corporate sector, scientists, women, youth,  local governments, and many more.

An analytical summary that compiled the key policy declarations from the Forum and the Coordination  Segment will serve as information for the July 2023 HLPF, the 2023 SDG (Sustainable Development  Goals) Summit, the overall work of the ECOSOC, and other critical intergovernmental processes  throughout 2023.

The Partnership Exchange provided Member States and other stakeholders with the space to exchange  knowledge and skills in the development and implementation of partnerships that will assist in achieving  the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and was held virtually on January 30, 2023, the day before  the ECOSOC Partnership Forum. The Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations  was in charge of organizing the Partnership Exchange.
